Setting Up Kiosk Mode

Last updated

Kiosk mode turns any PostalPoint computer with a touchscreen into a self-serve station for buying domestic shipping labels and dropping off prepaid packages. Configure it in Settings → Kiosk Mode, and set the logo and background color customers will see in Settings → Branding → Self-Serve Kiosk.

Set a PIN before leaving a kiosk unattended. The PIN is required for sensitive actions, such as switching back to retail mode or opening a secure parcel drop. Turn on alert emails so you're notified when a customer's package is ready for pickup or when the kiosk detects a problem.

Kiosk sales appear in your reports the same as register sales, so no extra bookkeeping is needed.

Switching to Kiosk Mode

To switch to kiosk mode, click the System Menu → Self-Serve Kiosk Mode button. If a sale is in progress, you won't be able to switch until it's finished or all items and payments are removed from the sale.

Exiting Kiosk Mode

To exit kiosk mode, click System Access in the bottom right corner of the kiosk's main menu. If you have a kiosk PIN, enter it, then click Exit Kiosk Mode.
